Wednesday 20th March 2019 was the spring equinox. It was also the international day of happiness and the Hindu spring festival of Holi, also known as the festival of colours.
Pupils in our school have been learning about Holi and celebrated with a fantastic day of activities. In the morning, we drew huge chalk rangoli patterns on the yard, enjoyed popcorn cooked on our Holika bonfire and made some wooden Holika figures.
To end the day, we had our own colour run on the school field and everyone ran through clouds of bright powder. It was a fantastic celebration and a memorable way to welcome spring!
