Walk to School Week - May 2019

From the 20th - 24th May 2019, our school took part in a five day walking challenge.

Our pupils learned about the importance of walking and how it can improve individual well-being and benefit the whole community. The children were sent home with a 5 day challenge card with activities to complete during the week. Participants were awarded a pin badge as a reward for  undertaking the challenge.

Park and Stride

For many of our families, walking the whole way to school would be an incredible challenge so we encouraged families to park and stride. Parking is available, near to our school, in the village hall/Ridley Arms car park or in the car park next to the church.

As an added incentive to take part in the challenge, the staff  decorated rocks and hid them through the village for children to find on their way to school.
