Learning, caring and growing together
Welcome & Head Teacher’s Message
On behalf of the staff, governors and children of Stannington First School, thank you for visiting our school website. Stannington First School is a successful community school, set in a beautiful location, serving the children and their families of our local area and beyond. We are all very proud of Stannington First School which puts at its heart our children and their learning. Our aim is to provide an outstanding education for all of our pupils and encourage them to become motivated, lifelong learners.
It is important to us that our pupils are prepared to make their own contributions to our diverse society, as confident and happy citizens, and we have an excellent team of caring and committed staff who work incredibly hard to provide the children with a broad range of opportunities and experiences within our friendly, safe and stimulating environment.
We understand that the support of parents and carers is a key aspect to a child's success at school. With their support, and that of our local community, we are able to work together to ensure each child receives the best possible education. This is done through communication and establishing positive relationships. Through learning, caring and growing together, we can ensure each child fulfils their potential.
As someone interested in our school, I hope that as you browse through our website you not only find the information that you are looking for but also learn more about the ethos of our school. However, our school is much more than the contents of this website so please feel free to visit and see our wonderful school in action; you will be very warmly welcomed.
