Church Flower Festival

The flower festival was an important part of the Stannington Centenary Event. It was coordinated by Sandra Dickinson who kindly involved the school children with this.

All of the children from Years 1 to 4, designed a flower tray linked to their learning about WWI and all of the countries involved in the war. Their designs were thoughtful and varied.

Some of these designs were chosen to be included in the flower festival and a group of the ladies involved in the event came into school, over two mornings, to help the children turn their designs into reality, creating beautiful flower trays.

These trays and all of the designs were displayed in the church as part of the flower festival, which was launched by Sandra and Lord Ridley.
